Public-safe analysis Aug 31 – Sep 6, 2026 (UTC)

Learning in public from real multi-agent work

A short, intense window of AI agent use — video, home tech, meta-evaluation, plus four major wins: the SmarTekAI brand site live with HTTPS at smartekai.net, a self-hosted email migration with failure triage and auth hardening, a scheduled astrophotography posting pipeline, and an on-device Korean conversation translator — distilled into patterns you can actually use.

Built from Grok Bot main-agent logs (12 specialists, ~6.6k transcript lines, 2026-08-31 → 2026-09-06 UTC), plus curated external titles. Live at smartekai.net. Private material stays private.

Major wins

Four specialist outcomes that shipped for real

Distinct jobs, measured receipts, public-safe stories — the live HTTPS brand site, self-hosted mail ops, a social posting pipeline, and an on-device translator.

Major win Site publish 2026-09-06

Brand site live with HTTPS — domain → DNS → static publish → TLS in one short loop

On 2026-09-06 Scott registered smartekai.net at Enom, pointed A/CNAME DNS at Liquid Web Ubuntu, and the AI Analysis agent deployed the static analysis site to /var/www/html via nginx with Let's Encrypt HTTPS for apex + www (auto-renew). Live at https://smartekai.net and https://www.smartekai.net.

Why it counts: this is the meta win — shipping the public lab itself after Email Migration, Astro Poster, and Korean translator were already featured. Domain → DNS → static publish → TLS, kept simple. Patterns only; no SSH keys or registrar secrets.

Major win Email Migration 2026-09-06

Self-hosted mailbox migration that recovered mail, cleared a backscatter flood, and finished auth hardening

A specialist agent named Email Migration moved business mail onto a self-hosted stack, triaged Sync Issues / Local Failures folders (632 customer messages restored to Inbox across two mailboxes), then on 2026-09-06 cleared ~6,700 forged-sender backscatter bounces from one Inbox down to ~586, added content filters, and verified SPF + DKIM + DMARC quarantine.

Why it counts: migration is not “done” at first sync. Recovering stranded customer mail, scrubbing a spoofing-driven bounce flood, and finishing domain auth are the outcomes that make a self-hosted cutover usable. Patterns only; no passwords, no address lists, no raw mail.

Major win Astro Poster 2026-08-31 → 09-04

From photo library to a 3×-daily X + Facebook astrophotography posting pipeline

A specialist agent named Astro Poster scanned a local astrophotography library, drafted captions, queued human approvals, and published on a morning / noon / evening cadence across X and Facebook — with a used-image ledger so finished frames are not reused.

Why it counts: five scheduled automations (6am / noon / 6pm + catch-ups) turned drafting into a desk. When social APIs could not attach photos, the agent switched to browser posting instead of stalling. Patterns only; no personal profile URLs, no raw chats.

Major win Korean translator 2026-09-03

From travel brief to on-device Korean↔English conversation app — in one day

A specialist agent named Korean translator built and iteratively installed a SmarTekAI-branded Android translator for conversational Korean↔English: speech in, dual-language display, headset playback — with a bias toward setups that stay useful when connectivity is limited.

Why it counts: the operator called out two wins in-session — the agent can compile and push an APK with almost no manual setup, and each loop visibly improves the product — after finding paid conversation apps never worked this well. Patterns only; no raw chats, no device IDs.

About

A public lab notebook for agents with real jobs

SmarTekAI is a public lab notebook — now live at smartekai.net — for how AI agents behave when they are given real jobs: run a scheduled astrophotography posting desk, storyboard local video, ship a Korean conversation translator, tune a TV, clean up a PC, migrate mail, publish the brand site, and supervise other bots when they stall.

We publish patterns, counts, and takeaways — not passwords, not private chats, and not anyone’s family or legal life. One private case study from another vendor is noted as withheld on purpose. Work often overlaps astronomy media and practical home/self-host tech; personal ops stay off this site.

The fleet

Specialist agents, not one mega-chat

Instead of one endless thread, work was split into named agents. Volume clustered in creative production and practical home/self-host tasks.

Themes

Where the tokens actually went

Primary themes by main-agent line volume. External title clusters hint at longer-running build themes still being ingested.

Method & ethics

Public-safe by design

We analyze agent transcripts and title inventories, then redact. Sensitive third-party sessions are summarized as “withheld,” not excerpted.

Excluded from this site

  • Credentials and passwords
  • Email addresses and LAN/router IPs
  • Family / legal / personal PII
  • 1 private case study (existence noted only)
  • Agent memory files
  • Verbatim private conversations

What we publish

  • Aggregate counts and date ranges
  • Agent names and job themes
  • Paraphrased patterns and takeaways
  • External chat titles from inventories
  • Honest gaps as a roadmap

If it would be awkward on a billboard, it does not ship.

Roadmap

What is not in this release (yet)

Future data — not analysis failures. The first release is a sharp multi-agent ops snapshot.

Platform Status Note
Loading gaps…

These gaps mean the public story today is Grok-Bot-centric and multi-agent-ops-centric. Broader vendor comparison will improve when exports arrive.

For builders

Steal the operating model

  1. One agent per job
  2. Humans approve public posts
  3. Log failures with the same care as wins
  4. Add a manager when specialists stall
  5. Measure tool loops on migrations and home tech, not vibes

Patterns over voyeurism

SmarTekAI turns agent telemetry into teachable systems design. More corpora will land as exports arrive; the privacy bar will not drop.
